Washington Festivals & Events Association(WFEA) is a nonprofit tax-exempt 501(c)6 Washington State corporation dedicated to promoting the common business interests of the festivals and events industry in Washington State and to assist the members in the improvement of their business condition by providing opportunities for professional education, and leadership development, for the festivals & events industry. Programs include the annual Northwest Festivals & Events Conference, regional seminars, networking, and publications such as the festival magazine. 60,000 copies of the calendar magazine are distributed throughout the state of Washington at no cost to ensure visitors and communities may share, celebrate, and experience the heritage and special character of the community in which they live or visit.

It is the role of WFEA to improve the understanding, recognition and appreciation of festivals and events in society, as people come together to share and celebrate their arts, heritage or special characteristics.
